Clean Water

Thank you Imago Dei Community for your worship last Advent!  From Advent Conspiracy, 8-10 wells are being drilled this year in the Mount Barclay region providing thousands of people with clean water.  Combined with other churches involved in Advent Conspiracy, 30 wells are being drilled in this region (many more around the world).  The effects of this cannot be underestimated: in an area where so many have died from lack of access to clean drinking water there will now be thousands of gallons of clean water a day, improving community health and the abundance of life in a war-torn region.  In the words of Saah Joseph, our partner there, "It is as if heaven has come to earth.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Church Planting & Schools

We have partnered with Saah Joseph, a Liberian church planter, to see healthy, vibrant, churches planted in the Mount Barclay region.  Saah has planted 19 churches and started 12 schools in Sierra Leone the last 5 years and has recently returned to his homeland to do the same in the same region where the Advent Conspiracy wells were drilled.  We are extremely grateful to God for providing us such a powerful connection in the region to come alongside the Advent wells with a Christ-centered, holistic presence under a Liberian leader with amazing vision and passion for the gospel.

Sponsoring a child is a great way to connect as a family or individual with our church partnership in Liberia!  Access to food and education brings opportunities for these children to become future skilled leaders in their region.  There are two options for child sponsorship: 1) $25 a month will put a child through elementary school with food; there are approximately 600 elementary age children in the Mount Barclay area our partners are seeking sponsors for; 2) a $500 one-time gift will support a girl transitioning out of the prostitution industry for one year, providing education, vocational training and counseling.  To go to our official Child Sponsorship site, click here.  To select which child you would like to sponsor or to have one selected for you, you can visit the Global Booth on Sundays in the Franklin hallway (there is a photo album with bios of children seeking sponsors) and register for your child there, or e-mail Josh Butler at: .

Missional Trips

We are currently developing two missional trips to Liberia this year.  In July, we are sending a small core team of experts in needed fields (construction, medical, teaching, counseling, etc.).  They will work with Saah and national leaders in the region in helping them develop their long-term vision for the area and how we can come alongside and partner with them.  At the end of December, we are developing a short-term missional trip where a larger team from Imago Dei with some specific skillsets needed will come behind the vision cast from the July trip.  While the July trip is closed, we would love to invite you to let us know if you are interested in the December trip!  For more info e-mail Josh Butler: .
