Mom's Community:
The Moms' Community of Imago Dei exists to support, love, and care for
mothers so that they can grow in Christ. Our desire is for mothers to
feel valued, not because of who they are or what they do, but because
they are God's creation, His children. Mothers of all ages are
encouraged to be in community.
Currently there are two ways to get involved in a community.
Evangel
Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday through May there is a time of biblical
growth for mothers at Evangel Baptist (2830 NE Flanders St.) from 9:30
to 11:30 a.m. Our vision is to have a set time and place where
mothers will be able to come and learn from the Bible, and spend time
praying and strengthening their relationship with the Lord. Childcare
will be provided for a small fee. If you do not have children with
you, feel free to stop by. Unfortunately, childcare is full. Please
email Karen Johnson to be added to a waiting list,
.
Neighborhood Communities
Moms' Community neighborhood groups meet many times a month and
provide a time to fellowship with other mothers in your community. A
neighborhood group is also a place to bring new mothers who are
interested in becoming Christ followers. The activities vary depending
on the group, but can include a moms' night out, a time of prayer,
playdates with children, or a visit to a local coffee shop. Please
contact the Hostess in your area to find out what their group is
doing.
