Knowing that parenting is a holy, and often exhausting responsibility, staff and volunteers in Imago Dei's Women's Formation desire to support and love single moms through friendship and through meeting practical needs when necessary.
If you are a single mom, here are some resources to tap:
1. Childcare, house cleaning, or running errands for you so that you don't have to with children in tow. We can potentially provide the childcare (babysitter and/or funds) so that you can run errands or have some time to yourself.
2. Financial assistance that will help you learn more about handling your resources and planning for the future. Imago Dei can sometimes help with certain immediate financial needs. Please call the church office to speak with a Pastor or Deacon who handles benevolence funds.
3. Friendship/prayer support is available for when you feel frustrated, lonely, or tired and in dire need of a break. Imago women are supporting each other: join in.
4. If you desire to grow and be more fully integrated into the larger church community, many avenues are available:
- School of Theology or Refuge,
- Home Communities that meet in various neighborhoods,
- Quarterly gatherings with other single moms and their kids,
- Women's forums throughout the year.
