Scarlet Card is a group of women dedicated to sharing love and grace with other women who find themselves in vulnerable situations, particularly those who are sexually exploited. The group's basic mission is to build relationships centered on trust and love, in which women learn to walk through life in the strength of togetherness.

Women at Scarlet Cord come from all walks of life and from all faith backgrounds. Its volunteers share a passion to serve, support, love, and encourage women who have been, or are, severely marginalized.

This ministry occurs on Friday evenings in NE Portland. A commitment of at least one Friday a month is required for those who volunteer directly. On those nights, doors open for women (and children) who are on the streets; a hot, home-cooked meal is served; hygiene items/clothing are distributed when available. The rest of the evening is spent in the company of female friends, engaging in conversation and simply sharing life.
