Prayer Ministry Prayer Groups

Life with Jesus means living in open communication. That life begins and ends with prayer.

The Bible consistently demonstrates, through dozens of ways, that prayer is at the center of God’s love for the world. By studying such Scriptural examples, we learn why that is and how to participate. Through practicing prayer, we discover new freedom in relating to God and each other. Our solitary prayer times become refreshing. Our corporate prayer times become strengthening. And the mystery of living with God, while still awaiting him, becomes rich with confident hope.

Service Prayer Room

During each of our regular services, the chapel (behind the main sanctuary) is open for anyone desiring to retreat into a place set aside for prayer. There is generally a leader guiding a group through praying for the service, Imago Dei, the city of Portland, and each other. Come join them or just to commune alone with God in a sacred space. Look for the signs at the back of the santuary pointing toward the prayer room.
