At Imago Dei we recognize that God has given the family as the primary context of discipleship for our children and youth. Within family we engage in the spiritual formation of our children and at the same time are shaped by God through them. With this understanding, as a church, we are deeply committed to helping parents engage this role by encouraging, equipping, and walking alongside them in this process of growing our families in the grace and knowledge of Christ. This parent resource section highlights some of the ministries and other ways that we are striving to help families in the different contexts and needs that arise within the life of the family.
Moms of Kids with Special Needs
These moms have experience and a heart to walk with and resource those who have children with special needs. If you’d like to talk with them or connect with others, please contact: Jen Pond at .
Single Moms- A ministry to single moms to love your children and share your burden
Knowing that parenting is an awesome and often exhausting responsibility, we desire to support and love you and care for your children. We do this because we realize that a tremendous amount of support is needed, especially during the child-rearing years, and we strive to offer that support whenever possible.
As a single mom, here are some ways we can support you:
Childcare, house cleaning, or running errands- so that you don’t have to with children in tow! We can also provide childcare so that you have time to yourself for a few hours.
Financial assistance: Learn more about handling your resources and planning for the future, or we can possibly provide you financial support now to make ends meet.
Friendship/prayer support in general: Someone to call on when you feel frustrated, lonely, or tired and in dire need of a break! Also, join with other single moms via social outlets and/or community groups. Feel free to contact Kerri for dates and locations.

Baby Dedications
At Imago Dei, we hold baby dedications twice a year as opportunties for parents to commit themselves to raising their children in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.
Baptism or baby dedication cannot take the place of salvation. It is God’s desire that believing parents create homes where God is honored and glorified, and where they model love and faith in Jesus Christ. The family is the key place where a child learns and develops their understanding of God and His love. They learn this through the teaching of their mom and dad. It is our desire that our church would be a second family to our children’s faith development. Church is a place where adults and kids gather to live out common faith and common values with a common dedication to the salvation of our children. Dedicating your child at Imago Dei is a public sign that you are seeking to bring your children up in the ways of Christ, and our community stands with you in that passion.
If you would like to dedicate yourself and your child at our next dedication, please contact Bekah at .
Marriage Resources
Marriage in God’s Image (MIGI Ministry)
The goal of marriage is to reflect God to a broken world. A loving, fun, and solid marriage is a part of God’s plan for His people. However, all marriages are made up of two sinners. How do two wounded and imperfect people create a marriage that reflects God’s redemptive work in our lives? The time, commitment, energy and skills necessary to grow a mature marriage are not promoted or taught in our culture. We hope to come alongside other couples through marriage mentoring, classes for engaged and newly married couples, annual weekend seminars, and opportunities to connect and fellowship with other couples.
Marriage Mentoring
Marriage mentoring is a part of Imago Dei’s Marriage in God’s Image ministry (MIGI). It is our hope within this ministry that many mentors would walk alongside married couples, pointing them to Christ and sharing their wisdom. Not only will couples seeking mentoring be blessed, but the mentors will, too.
If you’ve been married for 10 years or more, please give it some thought. It’s a wonderful privilege serving the body of Christ in this way, knowing that the legacy of this ministry has the potential of benefiting generations. If you’re interested, you can contact .
