Two thousand years ago, Jesus invited the children to himself saying, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these”. Jesus called them because, while others around Him didn’t feel children were worth his time, he understood that ministering to children was of utmost importance. He also reminds us of the significance as he declares “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."
Today we have the beautiful opportunity to continue in this blessing of ministering to kids as we love, serve, and continue to point them to Christ’s open arms. Imago Dei's Children's ministry is always seeking volunteers who are willing to live into Christ's story by serving the youngest Christ followers among us. We are passionate about helping Imago's kids grow and flourish in all the riches they've been given in Christ, and would invite you discover this blessing of Christ as you join with us in His calling.

Here are some areas to serve:
Nursery (Infant - 24 Months): Nursery volunteers are invited to understand how important these children are and love their time with them. Our hope is that parents feel comfortable so that they can attend service each week and engage in our community, knowing that their children are being cared for well and that someone is enjoying getting to know them.
Early Childhood (2 - 5 Years): It is our mission to introduce the truths of the Bible to our children and give opportunities to express and explore these wonders through play, art, music, stories, and interactive activities. We believe that even the youngest minds can absorb truths and concepts that will set a firm foundation to grow on. We learn with the kids as they teach us, too!
Elementary (K - 5th Grade): Every child learns, grows and experiences God in a unique way. We believe that God works in all aspects of His creation, and we learn about Him through real life experiences. Through learning labs we bring kids into an experience weekly that engages them and then point them to the Bible so that they can understand what they experienced. Each week we set up creative ways to respond to what they are learning and teachers are present to walk with them as they do so.
Front Door Ministry: Help make every family feel welcomed and taken care of. Scan people in on our computer system & enroll new visitors. Our goal is to allow parents to feel comfortable and safe with leaving their child with us as they go to service.
Worship: Lead worship or join other musicians with our elementary kids on a rotating basis. Our hope is to reflect the value of worship and beauty to our kids through music, art, and any other medium that our volunteers have been gifted to share.
