Our desire for the men of Imago Dei Community is for them to stand securely in their identity in Christ. The first order of following Christ is not primarily the formation of beliefs about Jesus, but the cultivation of trust in Him. Belief may enable us to approach Christ as a curious bystander, but trust opens us to God relationally as we submit ourselves to His love for us.
What awakens trust/faith is desire, not information.
What awakens desire is a person, and that person is Jesus.
