Welcome in advance to Imago Dei Community. The name Imago Dei is Latin for “the image of God.” It’s a phrase that offers a clear lens into the Bible’s explanation of human experience.
A relational God of love makes humanity in His image. But we break relationship with God, and, as beings made for relational love, are suddenly without the source of identity and wholeness that makes possible the full life we crave. What follows is, literally, history: the story of God’s adventure to restore humanity to right relationship with Him and each other, a story that culminates in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ—a story that continues to culminate in the ongoing, transforming work of Jesus in the world.
On Sunday mornings we gather to celebrate God and His story, worshipping Jesus as a united people. The Bible is explained and applied, songs are offered to God, and the Lord’s Supper is shared.
