ANKENY NIGHTS: Meets every Wednesday evening > 6:30-9:00 p.m.
The Imago Dei High School community has this mid-week rendezvous for all students, grades 9-12. Sick of flying solo through school, wondering why (or if) it all matters? Interested in meeting new friends from all over PDX? Come hang out :) Ankeny Nights is about new life, gnarly questions, real-world teaching. We need every high schooler on the crew, so grab your peeps and gather in the gym this and every Wednesday night, from 6:30-9:00pm. See you there...

ACTIVE WORD: Offered through 6-week electives that meet Sunday mornings > 10:30 am-Noon..
This sharpening experience for high school students only is a no-holds-barred arena for questioning Christianity and "faith," exploring doubts, and learning the truth. Through guided discussions, forums and creative assignments, we are together forming patterns of ongoing biblical study and Christian thought. Cutting through the mish-mash-mush of Christian-speak is not easy, so we raise the bar high and spur one another on. Our goal is to become learners who engage with the Holy Scriptures not as mere collections of facts but as God's life-giving, active truth that moves us to know and grow.
• Students learn through discussion forums and small-group electives, which are organized under three broad subjects:
1) Bible/Bible study methods
2) Apologetics/Christian theology
3) Church history/Christian literature
• 2013 Spring AWI small groups run April 7 - May 12.
Group 1: God & Evil > If God is good, intelligent and powerful, why is the world he alone created (and my life) so messed up? Meets in Rm 123, 10:30-Noon
Group 2: Lit Crew > The Screwtape Letters, by C.S. Lewis. Meets in Rm 224, 10:30-Noon
