THE GATHERING: Meets every Second & Fourth Tuesday of the month.
• Good Eats (we always share a meal, so come hungry)
• Great Peeps
• Dangerous Games in "The Gym of Greatness" & Slightly-Less-Dangerous-But-Still-Thrilling-Competitions
• Plus...mostly just hangin' out, inventin' stuff, shootin' the breeze, kickin' it old school, and other cool "ing" words that can be abbreviated by replacing the "g" with an apostrophe...
• 6:30-8:30 p.m., in the Ankeny Building, 1302 S.E. Ankeny St.

ACTIVE WORD: Meets every Sunday evening.
This sharpening experience for high school students only is a no-holds-barred arena for questioning Christianity and "faith," exploring doubts, and learning the truth. Through guided discussions, forums and creative assignments, we are together forming patterns of ongoing biblical study and Christian thought. Cutting through the mish-mash-mush of Christian-speak is not easy, so we raise the bar high and spur one another on. Our goal is to become learners who engage with the Holy Scriptures not as mere collections of facts but as God's life-giving, active truth that moves us to know and grow.
• Students learn through 8-week small-group electives, which are organized under three broad subjects:
1) Bible/Bible study methods
2) Apologetics/Christian theology
3) Church history/Christian literature
• AWI small group meetings start at 6:00 p.m., sharp, every Sunday.
• Worship & hanging out from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
